The cornerstone of preventive healthcare is the routine comprehensive examination. This allows us to find and correct smaller issues before they broaden, identify risk factors like obesity and dental disease and develop programs to control these issues.  Wellness visits also provide an opportunity for us to work with you to develop the best vaccination, flea, tick and heartworm program for your pet to prevent many serious and potentially deadly diseases. 

 Your puppy or kitten visit will include a full “nose-to-tail” physical examination. We will look for any signs of illness and make sure that your new pet is in good health.   These wellness visits also present an opportunity to discuss your new pet’s recommended vaccine schedule and the best plan for parasite testing, treatment, and prevention. 

 When our pets are sick, injured or just not feeling like themselves, they can’t speak to tell us what’s wrong. It’s up to us to recognize a potential problem and address it in a timely manner. LVC offers a broad range of veterinary diagnostic services to help manage the ongoing health of our patients. Whether it’s routine blood work or advanced ultrasound imaging, we’ll get to the bottom of whatever is ailing your pet so we can get them on the road to recovery as quickly as possible.

  Radiography is painless, safe, and completely non-invasive, and it uses only very low doses of radiation.  Radiographs can be used to evaluate bones as well as the size, shape, and position of many of the body’s organs.  Radiography can also be used to diagnose bladder stones, broken bones, chronic arthritis, certain spinal cord diseases, and a variety of other conditions. 

 We now offer your pets Companion Laser Therapy. Laser therapy provides a non-invasive , pain-free, surgery-free, drug free treatment which is used to treat a variety of conditions and can be performed in conjunction with existing treatment protocols. If your pet is rehabilitating from trauma or injury, healing from wounds, or simply aging, your pet can benefit from this innovative approach to treating pain.
